I’m working on a writing question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
There are two different ways to use reasoning: deductive and inductive. Deductive reasoning starts with a general theory, statement, or hypothesis and then works its way down to a conclusion based on evidence. Inductive reasoning starts with a small observation or question and works its way to a theory by examining the related issues. Will one be more effective in quantitative research? Why?
