One of the most popular training methods used in corporations today for developing salespeople is role-playing. A role-play simulates a sales call or sales meeting between a Seller and a Buyer. It consists of a two-person dialogue, with one student being the Seller and the other being the Buyer. Role-playing allows the Seller to practice the necessary skills for building relationships and making the sale. These skills include building rapport, listening, questioning, presenting, handling objections, and asking for the sale. The best way to learn the skills is by practicing role-playing.
